Teresa Barnett is a Consultant Family Law Solicitor with substantial experience in complex financial disputes, children matters and protective family law work.

Teresa has practised family law exclusively since 2005 and advises clients on all aspects of relationship breakdown. Her work includes divorce and separation, civil partnership dissolution, financial remedy, disputes involving unmarried couples, cohabitation agreements and ToLATA claims.

She has particular experience in complex financial cases, including matters with an international dimension, trust assets, family businesses and shareholdings. Where a case requires specialist valuation evidence, Teresa works closely with accountants and other professionals to help clients understand the options available and work towards a fair outcome.

Alongside financial work, Teresa advises on child arrangements, relocation disputes, emergency protection for adults and children, domestic abuse and cases involving serious allegations. She also prepares pre- and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.

Teresa combines technical family law knowledge with practical judgment, and she is a member of Resolution.
