Pricing For Fixed Fee Consent Order

Consent Orders – Fixed Fee

pricing for fixed fee consent order arthurs solicitors kent uk v6

Fixed fee: £750 + VAT
Court fee: £60 payable separately

This fixed-fee service is available for straightforward divorce or dissolution matters where:

  • the parties have already reached agreement on the financial settlement;
  • the matter involves medium assets and is not unusually complex;
  • there are no substantial disputes still to resolve;
    full instructions and the information needed to prepare the order are provided promptly;
  • the matter is suitable to be dealt with by way of a consent order only, rather than wider contested financial remedy proceedings.
  • A consent order is used to ask the court to approve an agreed financial settlement.

What is included in the fixed fee

The fixed fee typically includes:

  • reviewing the agreed heads of settlement;
    drafting the consent order;
  • preparing or assisting with the supporting consent order paperwork;
  • corresponding with you in relation to the documents needed for filing;
  • arranging submission to the court once the matter is ready.

What is not included

The fixed fee does not include:

    • negotiating the financial agreement between the parties;
    • contested financial remedy proceedings;
    • complex pension issues;
    • business assets, trusts, overseas assets or unusually high-value structures;
      enforcement work;
    • substantial re-drafting caused by changing instructions or lack of agreement;
    • advice on tax or specialist financial planning.

Where the matter is more complex or agreement has not yet been reached, further work may be needed outside the fixed-fee service.

Transparency note

At Arthurs Solicitors, we believe pricing should be clear from the outset. If, after reviewing your matter, we consider that it falls outside a straightforward agreed consent order case, we will explain that promptly and discuss the most appropriate pricing basis before carrying out additional work.
